How A Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon Grew Google Clicks 4.9×
At the start, the site had limited visibility for core cancer terms and Mumbai specialist searches. By the end of the reporting period, it
was appearing across a much broader mix of condition, symptom and specialist-intent queries.

The Client
A Mumbai Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon
A surgical oncologist specialising in head and neck cancer, with consultations across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
The website serves two jobs: explaining treatment areas such as oral, tongue, thyroid and throat cancers, and answering the questions people search when they notice a symptom, receive a diagnosis or start looking for a specialist.
The Challenge
Hard To Find For The Cancers He Treats
In June–August 2025, the earliest Search Console period available, the site’s average Google position was 20.9, and core cancer searches sat much further down.

Local specialist searches were weak too: “best oncologist in mumbai” averaged 26.8 and brought only 2 clicks in three months. The priority was visibility for the cancers he treats, reaching people not already searching his name, and being easier to find in Mumbai.
What Healthus Did
An SEO Plan That Follows How Patients Search
Early questions about symptoms and conditions, later questions about treatment and recovery, and finally searches for a specialist in Mumbai.
01Symptoms & Conditions
Wrote blogs and articles around patient questions
Patient-education content built around real search questions, including early signs, symptoms, stages, curability and cancer-related neck lumps across lip, mouth, tongue, throat and neck cancer.
02Treatment & Recovery
Added articles on specialists and recovery
Four further articles covered top oncologists in Mumbai, top cancer hospitals, buccal mucosa recovery and whether throat cancer is curable, extending the site beyond symptom-led searches.
03A Specialist In Mumbai
Tracked discovery beyond the doctor’s name
To separate new discovery from existing brand demand, Google Search Console and GA4 were used to track non-brand clicks separately from searches for the doctor’s name.
